Hi!  Let me introduce myself.

 

I am Winifreda Quijano Santos-Tongco from Malabon, Metro Manila.  I was born March 3, 1959.  I studied at The University of Santo Tomas, Espana Manila from 1975-1979 and I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Major in Economics.  

 

After I graduated,  I applied for a job at The Consolidated Bank and Trust Corporation , also known as Solidbank.,  in Binondo Manila.  I passed the entrance exams and was assigned as Foreign Clerk at the Foreign Department.  I process import and export documents for clients who are engaged in this kind of business.

 

After 2 years,  I resigned and applied at the Allied Banking Corporation.  I worked as New Accounts Clerk at their branch in Malabon.  I got married in 1985 and had my firstborn in 1987 which prompted me to resign and eventually ran a “Lugawan”  business.  The business lasted for about 10 years .  Within this period,  I had three more siblings  Since then,  I had to stay at home and look after my family until all four of my kids finish college..

 

Now,  I think it’s time for me to shift to a “new normal”.  Nothing has changed.  The knowledge and desire to learn new things is still there.  I enrolled and underwent intensive training at the Filipino Virtual Assistants’  freelancing course.  

 

Once again, I’m ready to face the challenges.
